John has been a member of Learning & Development Institute, (formally The Irish Institute of Training and Development, IITD), for over 25 years. Having held a number of senior posts on National Council, John was made a Fellow of the Institute for his contribution to the profession and was elected President of L&DI/IITD for two years in 2008. As President he represented the Institute members on the FÁS Excellence Through People Approvals Board.
